Photo: don't know, but Keith and Bert are wearing the same suits as they were in the 1949 Live Power Winners Dinner. My mom says that doesn't necessarily mean it was the same time & place; those may have been the only suits they had. At any rate, it must be around 1949.

My grandfather was an engineer at Detroit's WJR beginning in 1943. He kept what was considered trash at the time: on-air transcription discs for shows he liked. He also cut a lot of discs for his own use. I've inherited his collection of over 250 discs. ... more
